Now Is The Time

When the song of the angel is stilled
When the star in the sky is gone,
When the Kings and the Princes are home
When the Shepherds are back with their flock,
The work of Christmas begins…
            To find the lost
            To heal the broken
            To feed the hungry
            To release the prisoner
            To build the nations
To bring peace among brothers and sisters
To make music in the hearts.

Your efforts were greatly appreciated.

We will resume holding the Ladies Bible study on 1/10/24 from 2-3 p.m. We will be studying Joy: a Study of Philippians by Deb Burma. This study challenges us to live out our faith as the Philippians & St. Paul did. There is a lot of perversion of God’s Word-we need to be in the Word to know what God’s truth versus the lies of the world is (i.e. Satan) is telling us. We need to be reminded of God’s stability in this unstable world. These daily lessons are short: about 15 minutes daily. Even if you only have 15 minute a week, still work on this Bible study as you will continue to be in God’s Word. Study books will be available at the back of church. If all have been taken & you are interested in doing the Bible study with the group or by yourself, please let Tom Norris know so more books can be ordered.

Book Club –We will start the New Year out by reading In the Neighborhood of Normal by Cindy Maddox. Mish Atkinson an 82 year old is determined she’s going to make something of the time she has left on earth. When a text message on her new smart phone leads to an encounter with a women she believes is Jesus. We will meet on Thursday January 18th at church. Let’s hope the weather is better then last years snow storm.
