Special thanks to all of you who planned and/or contributed with donations of food and/or time for our Easter Egg Hunt for the community. We had approximately 40 children who participated and had around 80 people in attendance for the morning.
Everyone started with a light breakfast, followed by a mini-sermon, craft, and the egg hunt finale! We also had Bibles, Lenten books, Bible study books, and information available for anyone who wanted to take them.
Joy Poppe retired after 52 years of serving our church. She wanted to do nothing more than "slide on out" unnoticed. However, we can't let that happen and celebrated her years of service with cake and refreshments.
My sincere thanks to the family of St. Paul for the surprise retirement send-off. I was overwhelmed by all the kind words, cards and gifts. I especially want to thank Greg and Penny Reed for all their efforts. - Joy
Volunteers created 75 blankets! These blankets will be included in the Chenoa Thanksgiving food baskets for local families.
